Happy Birthday Audi

I've had my car a year and that's something to celebrate. I thought I was going to loose her in December 2007 but she made a full recovery after a douchebag ran me down in the Half Price Books parking lot 3 days before christ's fake birthday.

Life has become working and attempting to keep up w/personal day to day tasks. There's not much else going on. I've basenji proofed the house (I think). That was a huge task but locking them out of most rooms and putting all the books in the office seems to have done the trick. It's not really a trick so much as it's keeping those punks outta my prized possessions.

I'm hosting a girls night at my house, a book club meeting and a pumpkin carving party all in the next week. I guess I should start cleaning the dust bowl/grimefest that's also known as the Vela Villa.

This morning I said to Topher, "how do people have kids?" There's no way I could keep the house together, cook, work and be sane. I'd have to be a lot more drunk and that doesn't seem condusive to parenting. Then I told him we needed to be nicer to our moms. How the hell did they do it? Women are under so much scrutinty and yet manage to raise the world. It's amazing that we haven't been running the country for centuries. We'd just put it on our list of things to do while juggling the other 100 things that needed our attention.

Women are amazing. Spank yours and tell her she's pretty. Then buy her a yummy snack and give her a poke.
